Trinity Glen Rose Groundwater Conservation District officials said Dec. 1 they will raise rates on water producers in north Bexar County effective Jan. 1, 2024.

The background

Meeting on Sept. 14, the district board approved the agency’s fiscal year 2023-24 budget to fund operations, which include protecting and recharging Trinity Glen Rose Aquifer groundwater across north Bexar County.

As part of the budget, board members approved a nonagricultural rate increase of $1.2276 per gallon produced within TGRGCD’s boundaries.

It was the water district’s first rate hike since 2015, district officials said. The existing nonagricultural production rate of $0.9207 per gallon will expire Dec. 31.
