The San Antonio City Council District 8 field office has officially relocated from inside the John Igo Library to an office in the South Texas Medical Center at 8431 Fredericksburg Road, Ste. 114.

A June 1 news release states the new space is part of a collaboration with The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio as the office is located inside a UT Health San Antonio building.
District 8 Council Member Manny Pelaez oversaw a grand opening celebration at the new field office and thanked UT Health San Antonio officials, hailing their partnership as being especially significant given the medical center’s importance to the district and San Antonio as a whole.
City officials said residents may call 210-207-0943 or email [email protected] to make an appointment to meet with Pelaez or one of his aides about a city issue or access basic services.

“In addition to providing care—the medical center employs tens of thousands of people, leads the way in research and development, trains the next generation of healthcare workers, and welcomes more than 5 million visitors annually,” Pelaez said in a statement.
