Independence Day Picnic at the Park

The City of Shavano Park is hosting an Independence Day celebration parade and community picnic, along with a baking contest and bike decoration contest. Preregistration is required for contests.

Breakthrough T1D Community Engagement Summit


Head to Saint Mary's Hall for a networking and education event and seminar for families and individuals that are affected by Type 1 Diabetes. The summit will have research exhibits, speakers, and experts from the medical field. Registration required.Fiesta Noche del Río

The event lights up the historic Arneson River Theatre at La Villita. The 68th Fiesta del Noche del Rio features music, dancing and colorful costumes that celebrate the unique culture and heritage of San Antonio. Tea Education Class

Head to the Gruene Tea Haus to learn about the fundamentals of brewing black tea. Learn about its composition, brewing techniques, and ways to enhance flavor for people from all skill levels. Registration required.Written in the Stars

Camel and Ostrich Racing

Live racing of camels and ostriches will take place over two days, with ostriches racing after the third horse race of each evening, and camels racing after the sixth horse race. There is no wagering on camels and ostriches. Some dining options available.Women’s Wellness Conference

Grown Up Cup

Boerne adults are encouraged to get active and participate in a field day featuring games and other activities. Teams will compete to see who comes out on top in games like giant Jenga, leap frog, a wheelbarrow race and more. Registration for the event is encouraged.Tour de Boerne

Cyclists in Boerne can put their skills to the test in the Tour de Boerne. The event features three courses for cyclists to race in, including 28-mile, 45-mile and 63-mile races. The bike ride event helps raise funds for local nonprofit organizations.
