The following nine events are happening in San Antonio between the end of September and into October. Additional information about each event can be found on each event's respective website. This list is not comprehensive.

41st Annual Jazz’SAlive

The two-day festival will feature artists Patrice Rushen, Dirty River Orchestra, United States Air Force Band of the West, Nina and the Gypsies, St. Mary’s University Jazz Orchestra and other artists at Civic Park at Hemisfair.

Rey Feo Superhero River Parade

The parade will be held at La Villita’s Arneson River Theatre and will feature decorated floats along the river, each themed with superheroes from comics, movies and TV shows. The event highlights local firefighters, police officers, healthcare workers and educators for their dedication and contributions to the community.Oktoberfest at Little Woodrow’s


Little Woodrow’s at Braun Pointe will have beer tasting and a stein-hoisting competition during Oktoberfest.

Candle making at Mission Crafts Chandlery

Guests will be able to create their own autumn-themed candle with fall fragrances like pumpkin spice and other scents. Hot popcorn will be served during the session. Guests are required to make a reservation.October

Market Day at Encino Park

The Encino Park Women’s Club will host a market day on the first Saturday of October. The market will feature seasonal items, food vendors, home decor, jewelry, clothing and other items.13th Annual Burton Ball


The Tim Burton-themed event will feature costume contests, independent artists, vendors, treats, toys, collectibles and a meet and greet opportunity with Academy Award-winning makeup artist Ve Niell. The three-day event is free, but offers VIP packages for purchase.

Movie Mondays at Pearl

Every Monday starting Oct. 14, the Pearl will be screening a free movie in the green space area next to Food Hall. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs.

Survivors speaker series at the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio

Stories of Holocaust survivors will be told by their descendants as part of the museum’s survivors speaker series. The story of Ruth Fuks Reif’s train escape will be told by her granddaughter, Eleanor Gossen.

Fright Night Halloween Bar Crawl

The event will take attendees to different bars and music venues in San Antonio to enjoy drinks and dancing. The event will also have a costume contest, Halloween-themed drinks and select food specials. The event will start at Mad Dogs British Pub.
