Preschool open house

Little Sunshine's Playhouse & Preschool of San Antonio at Stone Oak will host an open house where attending children will have a chance to explore their creative side in a fun way. Visitors will also get to tour the campus.Nature walk

Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy will offer its monthly nature walk. This time, entomology student Nicolas Phillips will talk about insects and lead park guests on a walk where they will catch, identify and release insects.Summer fashion show

Texas Fashion Industry Initiative will hold the Summer Stylist Showdown, featuring wardrobe stylists from across Texas showcasing outfits reflecting the latest fashion trends. A panel of award-winning stylists will judge the runway show and pick a winner. The event will also include a DJ, local vendors and refreshments. Event proceeds will be used to fund this year’s Texas Fashion Week, and year-round professional


development workshops for the local fashion community. Stylists selected to participate will compete for a cash prize, TFII membership, and tickets to Texas Fashion Week.

Memorial Day ceremony

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will host a public Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremony, accompanied by speeches, song, a moment of silence, rifle volleys and the playing of “Taps.” All public parking will be offered at nearby Cole High School.
