A new space-science-themed exhibition at the Witte Museum and a chamber music performance are among major activities scheduled in San Antonio in late May and June.

'Surviving Space’

The Witte Museum will host “Surviving Space: Astronauts and Asteroids,” an immersive, hands-on installation that lets visitors experience life as an astronaut. Attendees will also explore NASA artifacts and learn how NASA is trying to defend Earth from catastrophic asteroid impacts.‘Olde Tyme Barn Dance’

Ronnie Pfeil, local Texas/country music artist, will lead an Olde Tyme Barn Dance, which will include a barbecue dinner and drinks. Proceeds will benefit Alzafar Shriners.The Spazmatics in concert

The Spazmatics, an ‘80s tribute band, will perform at Frost Plaza at The Rock at La Cantera as part of a new summer concert series. Refreshments will be available for purchase.Chamber music concert


Local chamber music ensemble Agarita will perform a program that highlights and interacts with themes in the Witte Museum’s collection.Nature walk

Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy will host a nature walk where Texas master naturalists will show attendees how to use native plants in their own landscape and how such plants benefit wildlife.
