Riverwalk art show
More than 40 artisans will display and sell handmade works of art, ranging from pottery and paintings to textiles and jewelry, along the San Antonio Riverwalk.

Representatives of the organization Texas Husky Rescue will be at Dog Days Day Care will be on hand to meet community members interested in fostering or adopting a husky.

The second annual Third Coast Cocktail Summit, presented by local nonprofit Culinaria, will conclude with the Summit Cocktail Party. The disco-themed bash will have several San Antonio-area restaurants offering samples of signature dishes, as beverage-makers and wineries provide samples of their libations.

San Antonio’s 36th annual celebration of the life and works of the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. will begin with a march from Martin Luther King Jr. Academy and ending at Pittman-Sullivan Park, where they will be food, community organizations offering various types of information and services, kids activities, a health and wellness area, music and guest speakers. City officials said San Antonio’s MLK march is the nation’s largest of its kind, drawing an estimated 300,000 participants yearly.
