A community fishing event along with activities celebrating Halloween and Dia de los Muertos can be found across the San Antonio area on Halloween weekend.

Tasting Texas Wine and Food Festival

Local nonprofit Culinaria will present the Tasting Texas Wine + Food Festival, which features samplings, educational panel discussions, and other activities where attendees may explore the variety of foods that are traditional and prominent throughout Texas. Proceeds will benefit Culinaria’s culinary educational programming.

Haunted Oaks

Rolling Oaks Mall is hosting Haunted Oaks, a 12,000-square-foot maze filled with scary sights and sounds.

Pumpkin patch

University Methodist Church is hosting its annual pumpkin patch, where sales proceeds benefit its summer intern program, which helps college-age students explore a vocational career.

‘111 Years and Counting’



Public Theater of San Antonio, formerly San Pedro Playhouse, will present a special concert, “111 Years and Counting,” featuring San Antonio performers and Broadway hits that have defined the local theater troupe’s decades of entertainment.

Day of the Dead River Parade

The event will feature more than 20 floats decorated with altars, sugar skulls and costumed riders all celebrating life and loved ones.

Family and Friends Fishing Day

The Brackenridge Park Conservancy will have its annual Family and Friends Fishing Day as more than 600 channel catfish will be released in the San Antonio River for junior anglers, their parents and avid fishermen to enjoy. Those ages 5-16 will be able to sign up for a fishing etiquette class taught by Fin Addict Angler Foundation instructors and volunteers, using fishing rods and reels for the morning. Registered children will be supplied bait for fishing while supplies last. A fishing rod loaner program is available for class participants while supplies last.Halloween Spooktacular

The Hollywood Park Community Association will have its Halloween Spooktacular, including games, a cake walk, face painting and more.

Muertos Fest
