PechaKucha San Antonio, the global arts and culture series that hosts speakers who share their passions in a unique format, presents its next San Antonio installment at Mission Marquee Plaza, starting with a happy hour featuring local food trucks and bar service, followed by presentations from mosaicist/sculptor Oscar Alvarado; educator/entrepreneur Ashley Bird; activist Kimiya Factory; food activist Jamie Gonzalez; filmmaker/professor Randall Rudd; and Colleen Swain, the director of the city's World Heritage Office.

Fiesta FitFest, an official Fiesta San Antonio event, contains numerous sporting, fitness and wellness activities designed to promote good physical health in the community. Activities range from runs and exercise classes to line dancing and wellness checks. Many of the activities are free but require registration.

The city of Shavano Park invites local residents to an Arbor Day/Earth Day celebration at the City Hall campus. The family-friendly event will include a scavenger hunt, a nature walk, lunch, a chance to plant a butterfly garden, a magic show, the announcement of poster contest winners, and children’s activities.

The Downtown Dog Market features several vendors with pet attire, toys, accessories, food and treats for pups. There will also be refreshments for humans and music. Visitors to this month’s market are urged to bring new, unexpired pet food or to donate online for organizer Dog Guide San Antonio’s Kibble 4 Canines dog food drive, which benefits Daisy Cares at the San Antonio Food Bank. Additionally, dogs may strut their stuff for a Fiesta-themed Rover Runway. Each registrant's pup will have a chance to receive a complimentary photoshoot from SA Creatives with the $5 preregistration fee going to Daisy Cares. Also, registered attendees will be entered for a chance to win tickets to the San Antonio Missions’ May 14 Bark in the Park. Pet owners may also bring washed, gently used dog clothes, toys and accessories to swap out for some newer pet goodies.

The San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition will hold a kitten show where visitors get to meet adoptable kittens. Visitors may also donate kitten bottles, blankets, kitten formula, food and litter on-site as well as making a monetary donation to the SAFCC.
