April 7

Senior Fiesta from Catholic Charities is the only Fiesta event aimed at senior citizens. Activities include music, a health and wellness fair, and vendors providing information ranging from health care and household aids to senior engagement and recreation. 8 a.m.-noon. Free. Taste of the Northside offers tastings of cuisine from 60-plus local restaurants alongside a wide selection of wines, spirits and beers. There is also music on four stages. Centro San Antonio will activate Peacock Alley with various weekend community events, including the Better Cities Film Festival, a screening of curated short films that explore the theme of making better cities, towns and neighborhoods. Fiesta FitFest is a new, a multi-day event involving various fitness activities to benefit San Antonio Sports’ after-school youth sports programs. The Fiesta Paw Parade involves Beacon Hill neighborhood pet owners dressing up their pets in their Fiesta best, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Beacon Hill Linear Park, at the corner of West Elsmere Place and Michigan Avenue. Admission is free and open to the public.
