The city of San Antonio will help Stone Oak residents with their own conservation and beautification efforts by holding an Arbor Day tree giveaway on Oct. 2.

The Stone Oak Property Owners Association is putting on the event from 9 a.m. to noon, or while supplies last, at the North Central Baptist Hospital parking lot at Stone Oak Parkway and Madison Oak Drive.

Representatives from Bartlett Tree Experts will be on hand providing information to help attendees with tree care questions.

Additionally, representatives from the San Antonio Water System and New Earth Compost will offer information on water conservation and composting.
