Eligible residents in certain North San Antonio-area suburbs and special districts may file for a May 4 municipal election ballot spot Jan. 17-Feb. 16, according to the state's 2024 elections office.

Available area city council positions are:In Hill Country Village, Gabriel Durand-Hollis, Matthew Acock and Greg Blasko occupy this year's available council seats, respectively. Sean Moore, Todd Kounse and Wendy Gonzalez are the incumbents in Hollywood Park.

Available area school and utility district positions include:Sandy Hughey, David Beyer, Shannon Groan, Steve Hilliard, respectively, occupy available NEISD board positions.


A special election also will fill the remaining term of the vacant District 2 seat following Terri Williams’ death. The current board has been deadlocked on whether to appoint to the District 2 seat any of the residents who applied last fall and expressed interest in replacing Wiliams.

Stuart Birnbaum, Joe duMenil, Steven Peterson and Katrina Waring Castillo each occupy the available TGRGCD precinct seats, respectively. Birnbaum, Peterson and Waring Castillo each were appointed to the board and are eligible to run for a full term.

April 4 will be the last day to register to vote for the May 4 elections, according to the Texas secretary of state's office. Early voting will be held April 22-30.
