Early voting will be held May 16-20 when Republican and Democratic voters will settle their respective party election runoffs.

The final runoff election day in Texas is May 24. Winners will advance to the Nov. 8 general election.

Democratic Party runoffs affecting the north San Antonio area include Claudia Zapata and Ricardo Villarreal running for the 21st Congressional District. The victor will face Republican incumbent Chip Roy in the general election.

Another notable Democratic runoff has District Judge Peter Sakai and District 124 state Rep. Ina Minjarez vying for Bexar County judge.

The winner will take on Trish DeBerry, Republican and former Precinct 3 county commissioner, in the general election. County Judge Nelson Wolff plans to retire at the conclusion of his four-year term at the end of this year.



GOP runoffs affecting the north San Antonio area include Mark Dorazio, former San Antonio City Council member and general contractor, vying for the Texas House District 122 seat; incumbent Republican Lyle Larson plans to retire.

The winner in the Chan/Dorazio match will face Democrat and business owner Angi Aramburu in the November general election.

Early voting will be held 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily May 16-20. North side polling locations include Castle Hills City Hall, 209 Lemonwood Drive; Cody Library, 11441 Vance Jackson Road; Encino Library, 2515 E. Evans Road; Parman Library at Stone Oak, 20735 Wilderness Oak; Shavano Park City Hall, 900 Saddletree Court; Semmes Library, 15060 Judson Road; and UTSA Bexar Room, 1 UTSA Circle.
