In a nutshell
A news release states that Nicosi was co-created by award-winning executive chef Tavel Bristol-Joseph, who will be joined by Chef de Cuisine Karla Espinosa, who previously led the pastry team at the now-closed Houston location of Yauatcha and worked with James Beard Award-winning Chef Hugo Ortega at Xochi before joining Pullman Market’s culinary crew.
According to the release, Nicosi’s menu will change every three months featuring four bites and four dishes.
With 20 total seats, Nicosi is designed to provide an intimate atmosphere where guests will be guided in exploring each bite and dish, which will showcase one of four flavor profiles — acid, umami, bitter and sweet. Each dish will be paired with a corresponding beverage, Nicosi’s representatives said in a statement.
What else
Guests may also talk directly with the chefs in a setting inspired by a Japanese Omakase experience and a speakeasy cocktail bar, the release states.
Nicosi will be available by reservation only Wednesdays through Sundays, with two tasting experiences offered nightly. Each seating is $100 for the total tasting experience with nonalcoholic pairings, or $120 for alcohol pairings.
Nicosi is one of four restaurants at Pullman Market where Mezquite and Fife and Farro both recently opened. The final restaurant—Isidore—scheduled to open later this summer.
