According to company owners and brothers José and David Cáceres, a La Panadería will occupy a 6,600-square-foot structure at 1011 N. Loop 1604 E., site of the former Brick House Kitchen and Tap restaurant.
The owners said they anticipate the Stone Oak La Panadería opening in December. Company representatives said La Panadería has become popular due to their fresh-baked Mexican sweet bread and other pastries and brunch menu offerings.
The bakery/cafe chain has also acquired the former Fratello’s Deli building at 2503 Broadway St. near Brackenridge Park, but no opening details for that site have been released.
Another location called La Panadería Express will open in the La Cantera retail center area later in 2024. Additionally, the owners said they will enhance the downtown La Panadería at 301 E. Houston St.
