Wild Japanese BBQ and Shabu plans to open in the spring at 1540 N. Loop 1604 E., just outside the Hollywood Park city limits, according to company representatives.
Opening at a former IHOP site, the restaurant has been using its social media channels to keep the public posted on progress of renovations to the existing building and hiring employees.
Restaurant representatives said Wild will be an all-you-can-eat eatery where diners may prepare Japanese-style barbecued meats and enjoy shabu-shabu, a Japanese hot-pot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water and served with dipping sauces.
