Representatives for JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa said the north side resort has temporarily turned its water park restaurant into a holiday pop-up bar, the Arctic Lodge, offering Christmas- and winter-themed cocktails, beers, and seasonal snacks to JW Marriott guests and the public at large.

According to a news release, the Arctic Lodge opened Nov. 12 and will remain open from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Fridays-Tuesdays through Dec. 30.

The release said the pop-up bar features twinkling lights, hanging snowflakes, Christmas trees, wreaths and other holiday decorations.

The menu has nine cocktails—one for every reindeer—including the Rudolph: Under the Mistletoe, and Cupid: Run, Run As Fast As You Can.

Craft beers and cider cans on the menu include Karbach Brewing Co.’s Yule Shoot Your Eye Out Red Ale, Saint Arnold Brewing Company’s Christmas Ale, V!VA Ski San Antonio Vanilla Porter and Austin Eastciders Cherry Lime Cider.

Snacks include spiced crackers and pimento cheese, candied pecan popcorn, peanut butter and chocolate muddy buddies, pistachio cranberry biscotti, pumpkin cherry bread, and peppermint chocolate bark.

The release said guests staying at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa over the holiday season may also enjoy a nightly light show with thousands of twinkling lights synchronized to holiday tunes, horse-drawn carriage rides in the Texas Hill Country, visits from Santa Claus and live reindeer, holiday crafts and snack-making, and more activities.

Resort representatives said the Arctic Lodge joins other pop-up bars in San Antonio operating this holiday season, including Snowbound at Chicken N Pickle.
