The San Antonio Planning Department urges Stone Oak residents to provide input on the local government’s efforts to form a long-range strategic plan for the north side neighborhood.

The planning department has spent more than one year developing the Stone Oak Area Regional Center Plan, which would be part of the long-term SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan.

Local officials said residents may provide recommendations on improving land use, housing and economic development in the Stone Oak planning area, which includes much of the North US 281 corridor and several neighborhoods east of US 281.

Residents are asked to offer feedback by completing an online survey by July 18.

Department spokesperson Iris Gonzalez told Community Impact the city’s most recent community meeting about the Stone Oak regional plan was held May 3 at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak.

Gonzalez said a draft plan will be available for public review in the fall, and any briefings and hearings related to this plan will take place in early to mid-2024.
