This fast-casual restaurant chain is continuing to expand this year, adding a brand new location in San Antonio.

In case you missed it

Teriyaki Madness opened its 200th overall location on Dec. 19, according to a news release from the chain.

It’s located near the Stone Oak area at 18410 N. Hwy. 281.

The new restaurant is the chain’s fifth in San Antonio, and the second owned by franchisees Daniel Gifford and Gilbert Vergara.

“San Antonio knows good food and good people, which is exactly why Teriyaki Madness has been so loved here,” Gifford said in the release.

So far this year, the chain has added 47 shops across the United States, while three others in California and Illinois opened on Dec. 19.

“It's a testament to how much demand there is for fresh and healthy ingredients, generous portions, gluten-free sauces and the kind of energy our shops bring to a neighborhood,” Jodi Boyce, the chief marketing officer of Teriyaki Madness, said in the release.

On the menu

Teriyaki Madness was founded in Seattle in 2003, according to the news release.

The fast-casual restaurant serves teriyaki bowls that customers can fully customize with a variety of specialty toppings, similar to chains like Chipotle and Cava.

On the menu, customers can choose rice or Yakisoba noodles, and protein options include steak, salmon, tofu or chicken. Additional flavors include house-made sauces and stir-fried vegetables.
