Kimpton Santo Hotel
Part of IHG Hotels and Resorts, Kimpton Santo San Antonio is scheduled to begin welcoming guests in August.
According to a news release, the boutique hotel situated across from Hemisfair will feature four upscale food and beverage concepts. Dean’s Steak and Seafood, a steakhouse adapted from a historic 19th century German-English schoolhouse, will contain 207 seats, a two-level dining room, an oyster bar, and a curated private wine room.
The Bar at Dean’s, another concept, will have a square-shaped bar adorned with woven panels crafted by Doerte Weber, a conceptual local artist. The release stated that guests at The Bar at Dean’s may enjoy the full Dean’s Steak and Seafood menu, and choose from the "Dean’s List,” which will have off-the-menu rare bourbon pours and vintage bottles of wine.
Tenfold Rooftop will be a rooftop bar with an emphasis on tequila and mezcal, beer and wine by the glass, and 13 small plates inspired by global travels, the release stated.

Local chef Jason Dady is partnering with Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp., a real estate investment firm, to develop Mexico Ceaty, a new multi-bar, restaurant and shopping concept on the River Walk.
According to a news release, Mexico Ceaty will debut in early 2025 as a 21,000-square-foot destination space to replace the existing food court within The Shops at Rivercenter.
Mexico Ceaty will feature Tres Arcos, a Tex-Mex restaurant; Dos Cantina, a 300-seat bar with two sunken garde-style sitting areas and elevated lofts; El Ultimo, a speakeasy-style agave tasting room; and Dulce Aroma, a panaderia café specializing in Mexican pastries, fresh churros and breakfast tacos.
Additionally, Mexico Ceaty will offer a stage for live music and art activations, a marketplace, and food stands spread across a main plaza, including a tortilleria, taqueria, ceviche bar, fruteria and Baja burrito stand.
Dady said Mexico Ceaty will not feel nor look like a typical mall food court.
“Our goal with Mexico Ceaty is to create a space where locals and visitors can enjoy the flavors and traditions of Mexico while celebrating the unique spirit of our city,” Dady said in a statement. "We’re excited to bring a variety of concepts to this space, with each element designed to offer an immersive experience."
