The Vets, a mobile veterinary service, recently expanded into the San Antonio area.

The background

According to an April 30 news release, The Vets offer a range of services that include wellness visits, vaccinations, sick visits, microchipping, blood and urine tests, ultrasound, dermatological care and litter exams—all at the pet owner’s home. Veterinarians working with The Vets also offer nutrition advice.

A home visit travel fee of $199 is charged for each home visit, regardless of the number of pets being seen by a veterinarian.

Established in 2021, The Vets serve more than 20 U.S. metropolitan areas with veterinarians having cared for more than 100,000 pets. The company, which is also expanding into Fort Worth, offers services in the Austin, Dallas and Houston areas.

What they’re saying

Esben Mou, chief operating officer of The Vets, said company leaders are excited about providing in-home pet health care to even more Texas pet owners.

"Our mission is to provide care that is as accessible as it is convenient and compassionate. This expansion allows us to touch the lives of even more families, offering them the convenience and peace of mind that they and their beloved pets deserve,” Mou said in a statement.
