One bar with an extensive food menu recently debuted in north central San Antonio, while a nail salon launched near Castle Hills, and a soda shop near Encino Park underwent a rebrand this winter.

Encore Bar and Grill

Encore Bar and Grill hosted a soft opening in April in the Redland Plaza shopping center.

The new bar includes a menu with various dishes prepared in house. Appetizers include bacon-wrapped shrimp and loaded potato skins. Encore also features salads, sandwiches, steak, seafood, and house specialty meals, such as pizza, wings, chicken fried steak and loco moco, a traditional Hawaiian staple with rice, hamburger steak and fried eggs topped with gravy.

Encore also has live music, craft cocktails, and daily food and bar specials.Angel Nails and Lashes


Angel Nails and Lashes recently opened in the Valley View shopping center near Castle Hills. They offer a range of beauty services, including waxing, pedicures, manicures, nail enhancements, and facials.

Representatives for the new nail salon said they are providing multiple specials as part of grand opening month activities through June 1, including 15% off any services for one customer, or a 20% discount on services for a customer who comes with a friend or family member.Sodamigo Lone Star Soda Shop

The business hosted a grand re-opening event this winter for the new name and brand for Drank soda shop near Johnson High School. Sodamigo offers a range of flavored sodas with snacks. Visitors can choose from a wide selection of flavors to infuse in their Dr. Pepper. Mountain Dew, Sprite, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Big Red, Orange Crush, Barg’s, or Seagram’s Ginger Ale.

Guests may also add flavor to lemonade, fizzy water, or get a slushy. Sodamigo also has popcorn, cookies and quesadillas.
