The owner of Rock and Fossil Depot in Hollywood Park closed the brick-and-mortar shop July 31 after 16 years of business.
However, owner Annette Cook said she is moving all of her inventory online for shopping on her venture’s Etsy digital outlet.
The physical storefront of Rock and Fossil Depot at 16111 San Pedro Ave., Ste. 103, offered a range of rocks, fossils and crystals from its Galleria Oaks retail center location.
Cook posted on Rock and Fossil’s Facebook page in June, saying she was choosing not to renew her lease and clearing out the retail store.
In the following weeks, she kept customers updated on a sale on items available at the store through the shop’s closure.
But Cook sought to reassure customers that Rock and Fossil Depot was not going out of business but instead changing the way she and her colleagues engage patrons. She added full online shopping opportunities will be available at the venture’s Etsy shop in September, which will be publicized on social media.
