Lisa Wong, owner of Rosario’s restaurant, announced March 13 that she was closing the Rosario’s at 9715 San Pedro Ave., and consolidating those operations at the north San Antonio location to the company’s flagship eatery at 722 S. St. Mary’s St., in the Southtown area.
According to Wong, the closure of the north side Rosario’s was effective immediately and that employees from that site were invited to relocate to the Southtown storefront, which launched in February 2023 following years of service at a nearby South Alamo Street spot.
“With the recent successful opening of our Southtown location, the appeal and synergy of uniting management and staff under one location makes the most business sense,” Wong said in a statement. “This will enable me, along with my management team, to focus on the Rosario’s brand and my other business interests in the downtown district.”
Wong expressed gratitude to patrons who have dined at the north side Rosario’s, which opened March 2014. She said she is considering options for use of that property.
“We want to thank all our faithful guests that have supported our north side location over the last nine years,” Wong said in a statement. “We look forward to serving them at our new forever home in Southtown.”
