Single Professionals Network San Antonio, a networking group for singles age 55 and up, celebrated its 34th anniversary April 2 with the installation of its board of directors for 2022-23.

According to a press release, those new board officers are: President Sue Logan, Vice President and Public Relations Head Leslie White, Secretary Lorraine Babcock, Treasurer/Membership Martha Robbins, Hospitality Heads Margaret Davidson and Susanne Sotack, Activities Director Dolly Isakson and newsletter editor Noey Pena.

The release said SPN is a nonprofit organization of single men and women dedicated to “enhancing the lives of its members through fun social events that encourage face-to-face interaction with other singles in the San Antonio area.”

SPN said its main purpose is to “provide an opportunity for singles to make new friends and to have a group of kindred spirits to socialize with on a regular basis.”

SPN members said their organization has been particularly helpful to those who have found themselves suddenly single after the loss of a spouse through death or divorce.

“Our purpose is to have fun and enjoy the company of kindred spirits, to meet others who share a commonality of interests and experiences and to make lasting friendships,” the release said.
