The Texas Department of Transportation announced Aug. 13 nightly lane closures will resume along Loop 1604 from Aug. 14-17.

What you need to know

The closures are needed for construction of the flyover ramp, part of the agency’s Loop 1604 North Expansion Project. The following areas will be closed each day from about 9 p.m.-5 a.m.—weather permitting—according to the news release:
  • Loop 1604 eastbound main lanes from the Vance Jackson Road exit ramp to the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp
  • I-10 westbound exit ramp to Loop 1604 eastbound lanes
  • I-10 eastbound cloverleaf exit ramp (the southwest cloverleaf) to Loop 1604 eastbound lanes
The conditions

Detours will push motorists heading eastbound on Loop 1604 onto the Vance Jackson Road exit ramp, continuing along the Loop 1604 frontage road, according to TxDOT.

Westbound I-10 traffic will divert onto the frontage road at the exit ramp just north of UTSA Boulevard and continue along the westbound frontage road. Eastbound I-10 traffic will divert to the frontage road along the exit ramp just south of La Cantera Parkway, according to the news release.
