Altgelt Lane repairs

Project: Rehabilitation on Altgelt Lane included a mill and overlay, spot base repair and striping from Loop 337 to the city limit.

Update: The project was recently finished.

Hunter Road repairs

Project: A mill and overlay with spot base repair and striping work was scheduled on Hunter Road from FM 306 to Gruene Road.

Ongoing projects

Klein Road widening

Project: Work is being done to widen Klein Road from FM 725 to Walnut Avenue, incorporating increased lane capacity and pedestrian and drainage improvements.

Update: The project is ongoing as construction continues and on track to be complete.

Intersection Improvements

Project: The city is installing new signals and making intersection improvements at County Line Road at FM 1044, Schmidt Avenue at FM 1044, and Klein Road at Klein Way.

South Union Avenue improvements

Project: There will be roadway rehabilitation from Common Street to Garden Avenue, which will include pedestrian and intersection improvements.

McQueeney Road repairs

Goodwin Lane / Conrads Lane reconstruction

Project: Planning is complete for the reconstruction of Goodwin Lane from FM 306 to Conrads Lane and Conrads Lane from Goodwin Lane to the I-35 frontage road. The project includes roadway expansion, drainage improvements, bridge construction and the addition of sidewalks and a shared-use path.

Update: Planning is complete for the project and construction will begin in the fall.
