The city of New Braunfels is hosting the eighth annual Dos Rios Watershed Cleanup on Oct. 12.

The details

Volunteers will check in at Prince Solms Park and receive breakfast, cleanup supplies and a participation gift, according to the city’s website. Volunteer groups can then use rafts to collect litter from the Guadalupe River and Comal River.

City staff will handle the collection and proper disposal of litter bags from the cleanup locations.

The city parks and green space for litter collection sites include:
  • Landa Park
  • Prince Solms Park & Hinman Island Park
  • Cypress Bend Park
  • River Acres Park
  • Dry Comal Creek Nature Trail
  • County Line Memorial Trail (FM 1044 and West County Line Road)
  • Kraft Park
  • Carroll "Udo" Hoffmann Park

  • Long pants
  • Close-toed shoes
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Reusable water bottle
