Alligator Creek Trail is a 1.1-mile hike and bike trail. Trail construction began in November 2024 and was constructed by Jerdon Enterprise LP, according to a news release.
The trail features a 10-foot-wide concrete walking and bike path. Alligator Creek Trail also has benches, trash cans, trail signage, dog waste stations and direct connections into nearby neighborhoods like Oak Creek Estates, the release states.

Deputy City Manager Jordan Matney said Alligator Creek Trail was a “beautiful” addition to the city’s growing trail system and reflects the community’s commitment to expanding recreational opportunities.
“This trail is the first phase of a larger vision for this area. Once the reconstruction of Goodwin Lane is complete, the trail will be extended under Goodwin and continue through the Sunflower Ridge and Wasser Ranch neighborhoods, ultimately linking to the new northwest park,” Matney said in the release.
