The New Braunfels City Council will discuss the fiscal year 2025 proposed budget and plan of municipal services through workshops from Aug. 5-8.

The council will also consider a 2024 no-new-revenue and voter approval tax rates, according to agenda documents.

The budget proposal will be presented by City Manager Robert Camareno and the no-new-revenue and voter approval tax rates will be presented by Assistant City Manager Jared Werner.

The timeline for the budget approval process, according to Communications Manager David Ferguson, includes:
  • Aug. 5, 4:30 p.m.: Budget presentation, preliminary tax rate setting and announcement of hearing dates
  • Aug. 6, 4:30 p.m.; Aug. 8, 4:30 p.m.: Budget workshops
  • Sept. 5, 6 p.m.: Public hearing on the tax rate and budget and the first reading of the budget and tax rate ordinance
  • Sept. 9, 6 p.m.: Second reading and final adoption of the budget and tax rate
All meetings will be held at city hall, 550 Landa St., New Braunfels.
