The timeline for the budget approval process, according to Communications Manager David Ferguson, includes:
- Aug. 5, 4:30 p.m.: Budget presentation, preliminary tax rate setting and announcement of hearing dates
- Aug. 6, 4:30 p.m.; Aug. 8, 4:30 p.m.: Budget workshops
- Sept. 5, 6 p.m.: Public hearing on the tax rate and budget and the first reading of the budget and tax rate ordinance
- Sept. 9, 6 p.m.: Second reading and final adoption of the budget and tax rate
