The city of New Braunfels is currently accepting applications for its boards and commissions for fall appointments, according to an Aug. 1 news release from the city.

The details

Applications are due Sept. 30. Appointments under the fall term will expire on Nov. 30, with new terms beginning Dec. 1.

The following committees are accepting applications, according to the release:
  • Animal Services Advisory Board
  • Building Standards Commission
  • Cemetery Committee
  • Civil Service Commission
  • Library Advisory Board
  • New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation
  • New Braunfels Utilities Board
  • Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
  • Partnership Committee
  • Workforce Housing Advisory Committee
  • Community Development Advisory Committee
  • Landa Park Golf Course Advisory Board
  • River Advisory Committee

“Boards and commissions offer citizens an opportunity to directly participate in their city government by giving important feedback and direction to City Council,” said City Secretary Gayle Wilkinson.


There will be an open house on Aug. 20, from 5-7 p.m. in the Tejas Room at New Braunfels City Hall, 550 Landa St., for residents interested in learning more about these positions and the application process, according to the release.
