From the county fair to a library book sale, check out these upcoming fall festivities happening in September and October in the New Braunfels area.

Das Fest! — September Tailgate Party

The New Braunfels Conservation Society is hosting a "September Tailgating" themed party. Attendees are welcome to wear their favorite college team's jersey. There will be live music, dancing and grilled cuisine.Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

This event is sponsored by the Crisis Center of Comal County. Participants will wear high heels and walk in a competitive footrace to raise funds and awareness for victims of abuse.Growing Texas Wildflowers


This hands-on workshop will be led by a seasoned Native Plant Society expert and wallow participants to learn more about starting a garden. Individuals will learn about the native plants and wildflowers that benefit the local environment.

Jeff Allen Comedy Show

Get some laughs and enjoy a night of standup comedy with tnationally recognized comedian Jeff Allen. Allen will perform a standup routine, then go over his journey from struggles to success.Comal County Fair & Rodeo

Attendees can explore a variety of fair festivities all week at this year’s county fair. There will be local vendors, food, drinks, rodeo events, agricultural competitions, thrill rides and more.

River Revival Music Fest

This independent music festival will have an extensive lineup of local bands and artists. There will also be events for all ages including yoga, markets, a parade and more. Meals and camping included with tickets. There will be two separate check-in sites—one for those with On the River passes and one for those with Cliffside passes.

Friends of the Library Book Sale


Attendees can sift through over 50,000 books, buy vintage collectibles and choose from a variety of CDs, memorabilia and more. Proceeds go toward funding the New Braunfels Public Library.1st Annual Fall-A-Palooza on the Comal

This family-friendly, riverside festival will be held each weekend in October. There will be live music, a pumpkin patch, photo opportunities and a local market. The event is also dog-friendly.Haunted Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner

Start the spooky season with a murder mystery dinner. Participants can enjoy a gourmet meal and collaborate with other guests to solve a mystery.

This annual festival features four days of live music, beer and wine tastings, food and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit nonprofit organization United Way of Comal County.
