Wurstfest, one of the largest Oktoberfest-style festivals in the United States, returns Nov. 1-10 in New Braunfels.

What you should know

Drink and beer purchases: Guests will now have the option to purchase beer and wine with credit cards. Guests will still be able to purchase drink tickets if they bring cash. Bars will only accept credit cards and drink tickets, according to festival officials.

Road closures: The city of New Braunfels announced Oct. 31 that the westbound lane of Landa Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Zink Street to Landa Park Drive, but open to pedestrian traffic throughout the duration of the festival. Those closures will be from:
  • Nov. 1: 2 p.m.-1 a.m.
  • Nov. 2: 9 a.m.-2 a.m.
  • Nov. 3: 9 a.m.-midnight
  • Nov. 4-8: 3 p.m.-midnight
  • Nov. 9: 9 a.m.-2 a.m.
  • Nov. 10: 9 a.m.-midnight

Rideshare: Uber, Lyft, and other ride-hailing services will have a designated pickup and drop-off area at Mill Race Run in Landa Park.


Bus and Limo routes: The route is Loop 337 and Common Street; Common Street to Union Street; Union Street to West Torrey Street; West Torrey Street to Elizabeth Avenue; and Hinman Island Drive for drop-off and pickup.

Parking: Parking in Landa Park and other areas around the Wurstfest grounds is limited. Attendees can find parking in nearby locations below:
  • Landa Park, 164 Landa Park Drive, New Braunfels
  • New Braunfels Lions Club, 111 Landa St., New Braunfels
  • Knights Of Columbus, 111 Landa St., New Braunfels
  • Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 386 N. Castell Ave., New Braunfels
Park and ride: Park and ride and shuttle service will be available daily throughout the festival dates at the Comal County Fairgrounds.

Accessible parking: The Comal County Senior Citizens Center, The Knights of Columbus and New Braunfels Lions Club have accessible spaces available with bus transportation. Gate 2 is an accessible drop-off for anyone with a passenger needing assistance.
