The event will begin at 7:25 a.m., with the New Braunfels Fire Department and Police Department Honor Guard marching from the Central Fire Station on Hill Avenue to the Main Plaza, as per the release.
The ceremony will start at approximately 7:40 a.m., featuring a flag raising and lowering at 7:46 a.m. to mark the time when the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City.
The ceremony will include:
- an invocation
- brief remarks from local dignitaries
- a bell ringing in memory of fallen first responders
- a performance of "Amazing Grace" by the New Braunfels Firefighters Pipes and Drums
Traffic around Main Plaza will close at 7:15 a.m. and reopen at 8:15 a.m., according to the release.
