Election night results show Kristen Hoyt is victorious in the race for Comal County Judge, according to the Comal County Elections website.

Hoyt received 18,431 votes, or 67.27% of the vote, while her challenger, Kayne Parrish, received 5,985 votes, or 21.84% of the vote. Deb Hindman, who dropped out of the race but still appeared on the ballot, received 2,983 votes, or about 10.89% of the vote.
Election night results show that 41,359 voters cast a ballot, which equates to about 28% of those registered in Comal County.
Hoyt faces no Democratic opposition for the seat, meaning she is likely be sworn into office Jan. 1, 2027, according to Texas state law.

Two candidates—former Comal County Tax Assessor-Collector Kristen Hoyt and firefighter Kayne Parrish—are vying for the seat of Comal County judge in the March 3 Republican primary.
According to unofficial early voting results, Hoyt is leading with 11,315 votes, or 68.47% of the vote. Parrish has received 3,293 votes, or 19.93% of the vote.
Despite dropping out of the race, Deb Hindman, who did not pull out in time to be removed from the ballot, received 1,918, or about 11.61% of the vote.
According to the Comal County elections website, 25,127 registered voters in Comal County have cast ballots, equating to about 17.03%.
Hoyt stepped down from her post to pursue the judge’s seat, following the December decision from the late Sherman Krause not to seek reelection. Krause died in his home Feb. 7, Community Impact previously reported.
What else?
Totals from ballots cast March 3 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
