Unofficial results from Guadalupe and Gonzales counties show Alan Schoolcraft winning the election with 55.52% of votes. John Kuempel received 44.48% of votes.

Following the canvassing of votes, Schoolcraft will move forward to run against Eric Norman in November.

Alan Schoolcraft leads the Republican primary election runoff against incumbent John Kuempel in the race for Texas House of Representatives District 44 seat, based on early vote totals.

Early vote totals show Schoolcraft leading with 55.11% of early votes, while Kuempel received 44.89% of early votes, according to the Texas Secretary of State website.

Schoolcraft and Kuempel received the most votes in the Republican primary election on March 5.


The winner of the primary election will run against Democratic candidate Eric Norman in the November election.
