Unofficial election results show D. Lee Edwards won the majority of votes in the New Braunfels City Council District 3 race, according to results posted by Comal County.

Edwards earned 1,042 votes, or 54.43%, while his opponents, Leigh Ann Rowlands and Robert Lee Nohrn, received 37.94% and 7.54%, respectively, in the May 4 election.

According to the Comal County early voting results, the current results are:
  • D. Lee Edwards with 760 votes, or 57.32%
  • Leigh Ann Rowlands with 464 votes, or 34.99%
  • Robert Lee Nohrn with 102 votes, or7.69%
The three candidates are running to replace outgoing Mayor Pro Tem Harry Bowers for the District 3 spot.

What else?

In early voting, there were 4,268 votes in the ballot in Comal County, which represents 2.93% of voters.


Totals from ballots cast May 4 have yet to be released, with polls closing at 7 p.m.
