The overview
Roger Luna—a New Braunfels High School graduate—began Aug. 11. Luna has over 30 years of IT experience in the public and private sectors. He previously worked as a Database System Analysis at Comal ISD, according to the release.
As the Director of IT Operations, Luna will oversee a team responsible for the district’s network, infrastructure, systems administration, information systems and desktop support. He will also work with the Instructional Technology team, the release states.
Luna has also worked in various leadership roles at Resolute Health Hospital, Invictus Healthcare Solutions and Ingram Readymix, Inc. He also served over a decade with Christus Health System, the release states.
Quote of note
Luna said his progression through NBISD as a student set him on his career path and allowed him to make lifelong friends and memories.
“I am thrilled to serve the school district which has positively impacted me and countless family and friends,” Luna said in the release.
