Strever will be replacing Susan Peery, who announced her retirement earlier this year, the news release states.
The overview
Strever has served as an assistant principal at Klein Road Elementary School since 2022. Before becoming an assistant principal at Klein Road, Strever was the academic dean at Koennecke Elementary in Seguin ISD where he taught and mentored teachers.
Strever also taught at Widerstein Elementary School in Schertz from 2009-2021. He completed the Schertz-Cibolo Universal City ISD, or SCUCISD Aspiring Leadership Academy and was a founding member of the SCUCISD Academic Bowl.

Superintendent Laurelyn Artebury said Strever would be a great leader for NBISD.
“We are excited to have him lead our team at Lone Star and look forward to the positive impact that he will bring,” she said in the release.
Strever said he was honored to join the Lone Star Early Childhood Center and was excited to support the students of NBISD.
“Together, we will create a nurturing and inspiring environment that supports each child’s growth and success from the very start,” Strever said in the release.
