Norman will assume the position July 1, following Kara Bock’s retirement this summer. Norman will lead and manage curriculum across the district, oversee all academic programs and serve as a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet, according to the release.
The overview
Norman began her career in education as an English teacher at Waller High School and Colleyville Heritage High School, where she taught from 2005 until 2012. She previously worked as Tyler ISD’s Chief Academic Officer. She also worked as the executive director of learning for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD from 2020-2022, according to the release.
Norman also served as a member of the Texas Education Agency Chief Academic Officer Advisory Council and presented at different conferences like the Future Ready Superintendent Leadership Network, Learning Forward National Conference, TASA Midwinter and multiple ACSD events, the release states.
