Comal and New Braunfels ISDs are providing free summer meals for children across multiple schools in New Braunfels.

The specifics

NBISD is offering meals for children 18 years and under, and enrolled students up to 21 years old with disabilities, at four schools through June 27, according to a May 21 news release from NBISD:
  • New Braunfels High School
  • Oak Run Middle School
  • Veramendi Elementary School
  • Lone Star Early Childhood Center
The NBISD schools will serve breakfast from 7:30-8:15 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., starting June 10, according to the release.

Lone Star Early Childhood Center started on May 29, with breakfast available from 7 a.m.-8:15 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m, according to the release.

Students are required to check in at the front office and eat their meals in the cafeteria, as they cannot take any items to-go, according to the release.

Comal ISD is providing free breakfast and lunch meals for children aged 18 years and younger at two locations, according to a May 29 news release from Comal ISD:
  • Comal Creek Elementary School
  • Danville Middle School
Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m.-8:30 a.m., and lunch will be available from 11 a.m.-noon, Monday through Thursday for both schools, according to the news release.

Comal Creek Elementary School will offer meals until July 3, while Danville Middle School's program will run through June 20, according to the news release.

One more thing


No identification or paperwork is required to receive the meals, but children must be present, according to the release.
