Ro-Ho Pork & Bread will be featured in an upcoming episode of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" titled “Tortas, Tomatoes and Tequila,” which is set to air Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. CST on the Food Network.

The background

Guadalajara-born Jorge Rojo has been serving his scratch-made tortas ahogadas—a slow-cooked pork sandwich served on birote bread that is “drowned” in a spicy tomato sauce—since 2015.

“I was very honored to meet Guy [Fieri]," Rojo said. "Not only is he a star, but he’s so knowledgeable about food and cooking.”

Rojo said he was happy to share his passion for Mexican food with the TV show.
