The New Braunfels Youth Collaborative broke ground Oct. 18 for the Mill Street Youth Center in downtown New Braunfels.

The new facility will provide a dedicated space for middle and high school students to gather, learn and participate in after-school programs, according to a news release from the organization.

The details

The center is located in the former New Braunfels High School building at 430 W. Mill St., according to the release.

The new facility is designed to serve students ages 12-18, offering resources that include:
  • After-school programs focused on academics, wellness and personal development
  • Spaces for recreational activities and peer connections
  • Support services for physical, mental and emotional wellness
“The Mill Street Youth Center will fill a gap in our community by offering teens a place to connect, grow and thrive,” said NBYC board Chair Gary Seals.


The timeline

Phase 1 includes foundational repairs and gymnasium renovations. Completion is anticipated in early 2026, according to the release.
