Here are four developments in the works in the New Braunfels area.

1. Mill Street Youth Center

Project
: The Mill Street Youth Center project involves transforming a historic New Braunfels building into a $15 million community space for teens, offering facilities like a teaching kitchen, esports room, study rooms, and other programs.

Update: The project will break ground in the fall once the remaining the total $15 million goal is raised. So far, the project has $7 million raised, according to a May 30 news release from the organization.

2. Bluebonnet Chrysler and Dodge

Project
: Bluebonnet Chrysler and Dodge is building a new $16 million location south of I-35 in New Braunfels.


Update: The project is scheduled to start Sept. 1 and aims to be completed by the fall of 2025.

3. Comal ISD Elementary School No. 23

Project
: Comal ISD voters approved a bond proposition in 2023 which included funding for the construction of Elementary School No. 23 in the Mayfair development.

Update: Construction is in the early stages, as land is being cleared in the area.

4. Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce building

Project: The $450,000 project will feature a lobby, offices, conference room, break room, restrooms and storage space.


Update: The project broke ground June 7 in Canyon Lake.
