The Path NB officially opened in downtown New Braunfels.

The shop offers a wide range of bicycles, accessories and services, catering to the area’s growing cycling community.

What they offer

The shop features an extensive inventory to suit all riders, including:
  • Kids bikes
  • Hybrids
  • Mountain bikes
  • Road bikes
  • Gravel bikes
  • Electric bikes
Prices range from $149 to $15,000, with brands such as Specialized, Giant, Liv and Pivot. Accessories, including helmets, tires and repair kits, are also available.

The impact

The bike shop offers more than just retail, providing:
  • Custom bike builds
  • Repairs for beginners and seasoned cyclists
Owner Jessica Odom said the mission is to make quality cycling equipment and services accessible.

“We wanted to provide the best bikes we can without the need for the community to drive to San Antonio or Austin.”

Another goal for Odom is to embrace the local cycling community in New Braunfels.

"We're gonna be very interactive with the community ... catering, providing free coffee, free food, free beer ... just to really embrace the community, get all the cyclists coming in here," Odom said.

Also of note

The shop’s opening aligns with New Braunfels' efforts to enhance its cycling infrastructure. Recent plans from the Parks and Recreation Department include:
  • Mountain bike trails
  • Road bike pathways
  • Mixed-use trails
  • Pump tracks
“This community needs it. ... It’s underserved,” Odom said. “We’re working with Parks and Rec, and their new master plan is an amazing initiative to make New Braunfels a more accessible city for cyclists.”
