In September, the retailer filed for a Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and planned to be acquired by an affiliate of Nexus Capital Management LP. Big Lots announced it will no longer move forward with the previous agreement on Dec. 19.
The impact
After rounds of closures on select locations, all remaining stores in the San Antonio area will close. A store employee confirmed the store at 3715 Colony Drive, San Antonio will close in January.
