When Kelly Beck and her husband, Doug Beck, launched The Village in August 2022, their main objective was to provide a space for caregivers to have an outlet for mind, body and healing through movement.

The background

While living in Colorado as new parents, Kelly and Doug Beck said yoga is what held them together when they were dealing with health struggles and difficult times. However, Kelly Beck said it was hard to find a yoga studio that offered child care.

“We wanted to create a safe space where people could show up broken and be able to heal,” Kelly Beck said. “I know that would have saved me on my hard days.”

Diving in deeper

The Becks’ mission for root cause healing is to be able to provide resources for their community. The Village offers workshops with local businesses through therapy, coaching, and other wellness services.

The studio also offers a subscription for hydrogen water, which is a hydrogen-concentrated water that offers antioxidant properties and anti-inflammatory health benefits.

“We want to offer many resources of holistic wellness for our community, " Doug Beck said. “There is a lot of meaning behind what we and other businesses do.”

Classes at The Village include a variety of heated yoga, breathwork, barre and pilates, bootcamp, prenatal, postnatal and classes for children and teenagers. Child care is available for children 3 months to 11 years old.

Why it matters

Kelly and Doug Beck said that wellness should be affordable and accessible to everyone.

“It is not frowned upon to bring your children to a workout session," Kelly said.

They said they understand the importance and challenges of balancing the needs of children and parents while providing a positive experience for both.
