The details
The decision comes at a time when other San Antonio breweries have faced closure risks due to rising supply costs. In September, another local brewery, Weathered Souls Brewing Co., announced its closure after eight years of operation.
According to its website, Freetail distributes to more than 50 grocery stores and liquor stores, including H-E-B and Spec’s.
“We thank our trusted partners for making our beer available across Texas and Colorado,” said David Olivares, director of retail operations, in the release. “Serving San Antonio customers and this community is our priority.”
Other breweries that have closed recently include:Staying local
Freetail will remain local to focus on its two brewpubs to continue serving its award-winning beers at 4035 N. Loop 1604 on the North Side, and 2000 S. Presa St., which is located south of downtown San Antonio. Both locations also offer pizza, sandwiches and other food items.
