The Bulverde-based gun shop and gunsmithing store Armed in America Firearms opened a second location in New Braunfels Oct. 11 at 544 N. Union Ave. The Bulverde location near the intersection of Hwy. 281 and Bulverde Road opened in 2012.

The gist

Owner Mat Cockrell said they buy, sell and trade guns as well as offer consignments, gunsmithing, custom rifles and more.

“We specialize in a lot of the modern stuff: AR-15 platform parts,” Cockerll said. “We do silencers, pistols, rifles, shotguns ... lots of ammo and accessories. We always say gun gear and good gun smithing. Lots of friendly advice for people too.”
