Indoor baseball entertainment venue Home Run Dugout is expanding into San Antonio with a new location at The Rim.

About the project

According to an Aug. 19 news release, the new venue will span more than 65,000 square-feet and feature over 30 batting bays, three bars, a patio and biergarten paired with a full-service restaurant.

Home Run Dugout’s immersive playing experience features fully-integrated pitching and ball recycling technology, as well as augmented reality game play, which allows guests of all ages to compete in skill-based games in their favorite virtual ballparks, according to the news release.

Each of the batting bays will be equipped with 20-foot by 12-foot screens, five TVs and will allow players to track their gameplays.

“We look forward to offering San Antonians a new happy hour hangout, game day watch party headquarters, date night spot, and corporate event venue,” said Tyler Bambrick, CEO of the entertainment center, in a statement.
